Google Sites, the website development tool within the Google Apps suite, just received automatic site translation today. If the user's browser is set to a default language which differs from the Sites default language, then a translation button automatically appears on the bottom right corner of the website for the user to select. Upon selection, the time spent on the Sites website will be in the users language. See picture for example of a blog posting from my website translated into German. Two notes: * There's a ribbon bar at the top of the website which allows the user to turn off the translation * Hovering over a paragraph of text displays the text in the original language |
