Socialwok is the private social application (think facebook/myspace) for your own Google Apps domain. A new December release has added private messaging within a feed, access to Socialwok from within your Google Apps mail through a gmail gadget, the ability to send an e-mail to a feed and a feed to Google Talk's instant messaging, and best of all is a mobile web version for your Android phone. Socialwok is a great application for companies using Google Apps and needing ad-hoc team collaboration such as problem solving, brainstorming, and event planning. Google's own Sites application is better for formal internal collaboration where defined structure and long term availability is necessary. |
