2009/09/03 - New Matrix Feature for Forms

Forms is Google's ability to generate a web based interface to collect data which is stored inside a spreadsheet.  Today Google announced a couple of very nice additional capabilities to the forms product.  First is a new grid type - the grid type will allow presentation of a set of questions and responses in a matrix.  For example, a survey of three questions that has a response of bad, ok, good would have to be repeated three times.  With a grid - the questions can be the rows and the response can be the column in a matrix type of format - this makes the resulting form look professional and easier for the user - sample below.


Additional abilities include the requirement to sign-in to access the form - note that the user must be a member of the domain in order to sign-in.
