A long, long time ago - well maybe not that long ago, there were two competing internet video systems - one from Google simply called Video and one from the startup called YouTube. We know how the story ends, sort of.... Google bought YouTube and Google Video went dormant. Recently Google Video has been reformed into the Google Apps suite for Premier and Educational users as it has always had good controls for privatizing videos. Video finally received an update with a pretty cool feature - the ability to speed up a video whereby the video and sound are synched at a faster speed. Google claims that speech is comprehensible up to 1.25x to 1.75x speeds. That's a great way to get through the next presentation or training video! More on Google's speeding up video. |
