Google posted a press release that Duralee has chosen Google Apps over Microsoft Exchange.  Duralee has over 400 employees in dozens of showrooms of which approximately 50 employees are mobile.

After looking at his overtaxed staff of 5, Duralee's CIO figured that the setup and running of Microsoft Exchange to include the purchase, configuration, integration, management, and maintenance of various hardware and software (including mobile devices) would just be too much!  Going Google figures conservatively to be a 50% cost reduction than the Microsoft platform.

What's interesting is the implementation story - a pilot of those users who had a personal gmail account (champions) along with an owner (excutive management buy-in) formed the basis of the core team.  In the end, the most loved user feature is the chat and video chat functionality.  Additionally, management likes the possibilities of using Sites for interactive collaboration with their customers.
