Google posted a press release that the Morgans Hotel Group has switched from Microsoft Exchange to Google Apps. Morgan Hotel Group administrates luxury hotels in several major US cities as well as in London, UK. This is an amazing story - 10 hotels - 1,700 people. After a bit of "marketing" to generate employee enthusiasm for the project, they used the Google Apps Sync for Microsoft Outlook tool to initially convert users e-mail over to Google mail. The end result is that their users thanked the IT staff for the switch and IT has a reliable communication and collaboration system which doesn't need monitoring, upgrading, backing up, or new hardware to be purchased.
